Hello. I'm a Japan-based British photographer specializing mainly in families, portraits and the occasional fashion shoot too. I first came to Japan in 1997 and liked it so much that I went off to university to study Japanese. I've pretty much been in Japan ever since. In the mid-Nineties I went travelling around the world, first with my parents' compact camera, and then with my own Pentax 35mm compact photographing people and places that interested me, but without getting too serious. I then preceded to forgot all about photography for about 6 years. Don't really know why, just did. But the enthusiasm returned in 2005 and I've been shooting ever since. Since then I've been slowly building a photography business here in Japan. When I'm not photographing I'm usually cycling or spending time with my family.
